Course DescriptionThe Miami Hand Reconstruction Course is an annual conference focused solely on techniques for joint reconstruction in the hand and upper extremity. The goal is to present advances and current techniques in the areas of arthroscopy, implant and soft tissue arthroplasty of the upper limb. The meeting is held just before the annual AAOS meeting in order to encourage and facilitate international participation, both faculty and participant. Miami represents a warm and cosmopolitan destination that allows easy layover access from travel abroad. This environment encourages a dynamic course where participants will interact with the world-class faculty in an equally stimulating social program. Course Chairman: Alejandro Badia, MD, FACS Badia Hand to Shoulder Center /M.A.R.C. Center Course Objectives - After participating in this conference, participants should be able to:1. Review indications for arthroscopy in the hand and upper extremity 2. Discuss arthroplasty options for all upper limb joints 3. Gain in-depth understanding of certain specific prostheses from PIP joint to Elbow 4.
